About 2002, I started building my Osprey longbow. It is actually a hybrid traditional bow. The highly reflexed and deflexed limbs gives it the speed and performance of a recurve but is light and graceful like you would expect from a longbow. This bow has early draw weight which is what gives it a smooth no stack draw. It is very quick and well mannered. I’d put this bow up against any bow in it’s class. I offer this bow in lengths of 60" and 62". Contact me to see which length is best for you.
The Goshawk longbow is the longer version of the Osprey. It comes in lengths of 64” and 66”. It has a longer riser and more deflex in the limbs then the Osprey. This bow is really dead in the hand and performs really well. The strung profile shows a little reflex in the limb, where the Osprey does not.
The River Runner Recurve is a 58", 60" and 62" bow that is modeled after the great bows that were produced in the late 50s and 60s. I've always enjoyed the simple and graceful lines of these bows. Because riser and grip design is so important to any serious traditional shooter I offer 2 different handle configurations to choose from. Both have the same limb design and riser length so they shoot the same. I offer what I call a 50s style grip (low wrist) and a 60s style grip (medium wrist).
All bows come set up for hunting or target practice with a 14 strand Fast Flight Plus string and wool silencers. I use industrial strength Velcro for an arrow rest, unless you want leather.
