Our Bows
About 2002,  I started building my Osprey longbow.  It is actually a hybrid traditional bow.  The highly reflexed and deflexed limbs gives it the speed and performance of a recurve but is light and graceful like you would expect from a longbow.  This bow has early draw weight which is what gives it a smooth no stack draw.  It is very quick and well mannered.   I’d put this bow up against any bow in it’s class.  I’ve built this bow successfully in lengths of 59” to 62” and have been very pleased with all.  The 60”er is the most popular and draws smooth to 29".

The River Runner Recurve is a 60" bow that is modeled after the great bows that were produced in the late 50s and 60s.  I've always enjoyed the simple and graceful lines of these bows.  Because riser and grip design is so important to any serious traditional shooter I offer 3 different handle configurations to choose from.  All three bows have the same limb design and riser length so they shoot the same.  I offer what I call a 50s style grip, a 60s style grip and for the late 50s /early 60s Bear Kodiak enthusists a Kodiak grip.

All bows come set up for hunting or target practice with an 10 strand D 97 string with wool silencers. I use industrial strength Velcro for an arrow rest unless you want leather. Bows are sprayed with a 2-part endurance epoxy.
